Raspberry Tart

Not too long ago, I profiled Belgian Red, which is New Glarus Brewing Company's cherry beer (New Glarus is most well known for brewing Spotted Cow ale). This weekend I enjoyed their other fruit beer, Raspberry Tart. Holy, sweet nectar of the gods. This stuff is amazing. Very sweet, like dessert wine, but with the hops to mellow things out a bit. The bottle's label offers the following description, proudly written by New Glarus Brewing Company brewmasters, Daniel and Deborah Carey.

Treat yourself to a rare delight. This voluminous raspberry bouquet will greet you long before your lips touch your glass. Serve this Wisconsin framboise very cold in a champagne flute. Then hold your glass to a light and enjoy the jewel-like sparkle of a very special ale.

Oregon proudly shares their harvest of mouth watering berries which we ferment spontaneously in large oak vats.

Then we employ Wisconsin farmed wheat and year old Hallertau hops to round out this extravaganza of flavor.

Life's too short to wait for dessert.

Enjoy

Maybe you would like to bring some of these home for Christmas. Bring extra for the gift exchange for both sides of the family :0

Can you only buy this in Wisconsin?
